DJ Wendy Lopez – Owner/President of WCI Entertainment

Known as a party music perfectionist, meticulous organizer and tireless promoter, DJ Wendy has brought her love of music to the masses since 1999. Her musical journey began with promoting local bands out of Texas then quickly moved into major event production. By 2000 she was creating and staging events for major corporations such as American Airlines, AOL and MTV. In 2003 Wendy became an on-air personality for South Padre Island’s Alternative 92.7 rock station. She spent the next 3 years working Spring Break including booking bands, hosting MTV show personalities, creating and executing major Spring Break events including a major fashion forward event for Designer Von Dutch and an MTV Video shoot starring The Warden for the National Security movie soundtrack.

In 2006 Wendy moved with her husband to Roswell, New Mexico where she took over the airwaves as DJ for Mix 106 Rock station and then morning show host for Hot 97 KBCQ covering all of southeastern New Mexico and parts of West Texas. While in New Mexico, Wendy's event planning skills extended into Wedding planning and coordination which expanded her business to a whole new level. Due to the successful expansion of her business and her high quality of service, Wendy was named Entrepreneur of the Year 2006/2007 by the Roswell Hispano Chamber of Commerce! During the Summer of 2011 Wendy’s focus was on promoting bands and she arranged and managed a tour of the United States for Canadian band God Against God, fronted by lead singer Eric Violette who is well known and loved by millions as the Free Credit Report guy.

Wendy is much sought after as Emcee and DJ for weddings, corporate events, charity events and house parties all over Texas. Her love of music spans the eras as she literally rocks the dance floor with a unique blend from ballroom favorites to classic hip hop and ‘80s pop freestyle to today’s top of the charts hits. She cleverly creates detailed playlists for each and every event and has the ability to read any crowd and keep them grooving all night long! 2022 finds DJ Wendy living near Austin, Texas where her company, WCI Entertainment, provides music related solutions along with planning and coordination for any event.
